1. Employer

2. Employee & period

3. Earnings (ZAR)

4. Deductions (ZAR)

UIF is calculated automatically: 1% of remuneration, capped at the UIF ceiling of R17,712 remuneration (max R177.12 per month). PAYE depends on SARS tax tables and each employee's rebate — enter the PAYE amount from your payroll calculation. This tool is a calculation aid, not tax advice.

5. Bulk: many employees at once

Download the CSV template, fill one row per employee, upload it here — you get one PDF with a payslip page per employee. Employer details and pay period come from the form above.

What must a South African payslip show?

Under Section 33 of the Basic Conditions of Employment Act (BCEA), a payslip must include: the employer's name and address, the employee's name and occupation, the pay period, remuneration in money, the amount and purpose of every deduction, and the actual amount paid. Where relevant it should also show the rate of pay, ordinary and overtime hours worked, and hours worked on Sundays or public holidays. PayslipKit's layout covers these fields.

How is UIF calculated?

UIF contributions are 1% from the employee and 1% from the employer, calculated on remuneration up to a ceiling of R17,712 per month — so the maximum employee deduction is R177.12. This generator applies the ceiling automatically. Confirm current SARS/UIF figures before payroll runs; rates and ceilings can change.

Is my data safe?

Yes — generation happens entirely in your browser. Nothing is sent to a server, and your saved employee list lives only in this browser's local storage on your own device.
